What it is

Adoption Metrics (Delivery & Continuous Feedback) is a hybrid methodology that blends usage analytics with ongoing user feedback collection. It’s used to track whether users are adopting a released feature or workflow, and how that experience evolves over time. It combines both quantitative delivery checkpoints (e.g., usage rates, task completion) and continuous qualitative feedback (e.g., self-reported friction, open-text comments) for a holistic view of adoption.

Why it matters

Delivery doesn’t end at release. Measuring adoption and closing feedback loops is critical for product maturity. Without structured adoption metrics, teams risk missing usability gaps or misattributing poor performance to wrong causes. This method provides timely insight into how features are being received, where drop-offs occur, and how to iterate based on user commentary — not just numbers. When teams integrate continuous feedback, they close the empathy gap while reducing blind spots in product decision-making.
